In Memoriam: Tuomo Hyysalo

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the sudden and tragic passing of our dear friend and board member, Tuomo Hyysalo, last Sunday. 

Tuomo wasn’t just a valued member of our Board of Directors, he was also one of our very first external investors. More than anything, Tuomo brought an infectious energy, belief in our mission and a spark that reminded us to dream big. 

As Tuomo once put it: “We have to create buzz and foster a culture where people feel we’re changing the world with our solutions. Money will follow an enthusiastic team!” 

“Tuomo had a rare ability to make everyone around him feel inspired and confident about what we’re building. His positivity was truly contagious, and we will carry that spirit forward in everything we do,” shares Outi Kallio, CEO. 

We will miss Tuomo’s wisdom, his laughter, and his unwavering belief in our journey. His influence lives on in the bold, world-changing vision he helped ignite within our team. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
