Maintenance
Exterior applications
The maintenance interval for exterior thermally modified timber cladding treated with NORFLAM® W314 is up to 3 to 5 years, depending on the structure, weather exposure and treatment method.
In outdoor applications, wood cladding that was industrially, off-site or on-site treated according to the manufacturer's instructions will require re-treatment after 3 to 5 years. The re-treatment must be done using the same flame retardant originally used to treat the wood product.
Interior applications
In indoor use, wood cladding that was industrially, off-site or on-site treated according to the manufacturer's instructions will maintain the fire protection properties throughout its life cycle unless the surfaces are mechanically damaged.
For more information about NORFLAM® W314 maintenance and on-site treatment instructions, see the Technical datasheet or contact Nordtreat's technology experts.
