ENVIRONMENTAL CERTIFICATION SYSTEMS AND LABELS

More than 95 % of the raw materials used in NORFLAM® flame retardants are non-fossil and more than 40 % of the raw materials are bio-based. Contributing to a low carbon footprint (2,7 kg CO2e per litre) when used in building construction, NORFLAM® solutions carry e.g. LEED certifications. The solutions also carry the M1 and A+ emission ratings, among other classifications and certifications.

EUROCLASS B, C AND D REACTION TO FIRE PERFORMANCE

Labra-v1

NORFLAM® technology based flame retardant solutions provide typically required reaction to fire performance for the commonly used wood-based products.

The highest reaction to fire performance for wood with the NORFLAM® technology is Euroclass B-s1, d0 (EN13501-1). In addition a range of NORFLAM® based solutions are available, meeting commonly specified Euroclass standards C-s1, d0 and D-s1, d0.

NORFLAM® TECHNOLOGY USE CASES

CERTIFIED FIRE PROTECTION TECHNOLOGY

Carefully researched, documented and certified NORFLAM® flame retardants are manufactured in Finland in a controlled environment and carry e.g. environmental product declarations (EPD).

Nordtreat’s technical support advises how to ensure the required reaction to fire performance in industrial and on-site treatment processes. NORFLAM® products also have clear guidance for maintenance treatment which helps building owners secure the required reaction to fire performance over the lifecycle of the building.
